The world’s sustainability plans are currently insufficient. It’s a collective problem that demands collective
solutions. Local initiatives are necessary.

Orillia and its citizens may escape the most damaging effects of climate change for a while, but every corner of our beautiful planet is impacted. The climate crisis is a existential threat for all of us, but in particular for our children and grandchildren.

Sustainable Orillia is a 7-year-old group of local people who want to ensure a livable city and planet for present and future generations. 

Many concerned individuals and groups within our community want to develop a “made in Orillia” grass roots movement.
