Sustainable Orillia adds to its board of directors
Sustainable Orillia welcomed three local leaders to its board of directors at its recent Annual General Meeting. All are committed to doing their part to protect our planet and to promote sustainable practices for current and future generations.
Dr. Sreekumari (Sree) Kurissery is an environmental scientist and currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Sustainability Sciences at Lakehead University. Her research has extended across the continents from India to Japan to Canada. She has published extensively in international and national journals and is one of the founding members of the Research Centre for Sustainable Communities at Lakehead.
Rosanna Shillolo is owner and operator of Sunrise Yoga Studio and a Yoga Instructor at Orillia Sports Medicine. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Yoga Instructor, Certified Paddle Board Instructor and Certified Nutrition Coach. A mother of three, Rosanna has a passion for physical fitness – especially in the outdoors – and she seeks every opportunity to build wider appreciation of our natural environment.
Kirk McLean is currently a Partner in Home Hardware Orillia. Originally from New Zealand, he roamed globally for more than a decade in his first career, working in the hospitality industry. Kirk has lived in Simcoe County for 8 years and feels fortunate to live in the Orillia area, surrounded by water, hiking trails, beautiful cycling roads in the summer, and minutes from skiing in winter. He wants to help look after our natural environment – for himself and his children (2 boys), and for future generations.
Sustainable Orillia is very proud of its strong, diverse leadership team, one that reflects a wide range of Orillia residents and works to ensure that future generations enjoy the same privileges that we do today.
