City of Orillia

The City of Orillia’s Tree Planting Program aims to preserve and expand the municipal tree canopy by planting trees within the municipally owned road allowance throughout the City.

Trees are typically planted mid to late fall and residents are encouraged to contact the Environmental Services and Operations Department to request a boulevard planting.  The City will determine whether there is sufficient space, absence of utility and line of sight conflicts and appropriate conditions to support the tree’s growth.  Please be aware that not all requests can be accommodated.

The City benefits greatly by these additional plantings and so does your neighbourhood!

Help the City do its part to fight climate change, reduce air pollution, benefit and improve neighbourhoods, human health and wildlife habitat by caring for street trees.
